Westlake Chemical Partners LP is a part of the chemical industry in the United States. Its operations are conducted through OpCo, it acquires and develops ethylene production facilities, which convert ethane into ethylene. OpCo sells ethylene and its co-products, such as propylene, crude butadiene, pyrolysis gasoline, and hydrogen, to Westlake and other customers located in the United States. Its assets include three ethylene production facilities in Calvert City, Kentucky, and Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Its investment objective is to provide shareholders with current income exempt from U.S. federal income tax and New Jersey personal income taxes. The fund mainly invests in long-term, investment-grade municipal obligations exempt from U.S federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax) and New Jersey personal income taxes, with remaining maturities of one year or more at the time of investment. The rest of its managed assets can be invested in securities that are rated below investment grade (or similar instruments), or invested directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
