Haemonetics Corp aims to improve patient care and reduce the cost of healthcare by providing medical products and solutions in the blood and plasma component collection, surgical suite, and hospital transfusion service spaces. As such, the company operates under three segments: plasma, blood center, and hospital. The Plasma segment includes end-to-end collection technologies, automated plasmapheresis systems (such as the NexSys PCS device), and donor management software designed for commercial plasma collectors. Hospital segment includes Blood Management Technologies (hemostasis analyzers, cell salvage systems) and Interventional Technologies. And the Blood Center provides solutions and devices enabling blood centers to harvest essential components like platelets and red blood cells.
