Scholastic Corp is a publisher and distributor of children's books, a provider of print and digital instructional materials for grades pre-kindergarten (pre-K) to grade 12 and a producer of entertaining literary and educational children's media. The company creates quality print, digital and audio books, learning materials and programs, classroom magazines and other products that, in combination, offer children, families and educators engaging and comprehensive solutions to support children's learning and reading both at home and at school. It categorizes its businesses into four reportable segments: Children's Book Publishing and Distribution; Education; Entertainment; and International. It derives the majority of revenue from Children's Book Publishing and Distribution segment.
