The company has three business segments: Hospitality, which includes Gaylord Hotels properties, the Inn at Opryland, and the AC Hotel, Entertainment which includes the entertainment and media assets comprising OEG, and Corporate and Other, which includes corporate expenses. GATX Corp leases transportation assets, including railcars, aircraft spare engines, and tank containers, to customers in North America, Europe, and India. The company's reportable business segments are: Rail North America, Rail International, Engine Leasing, and Other. The majority of its revenue is generated from the Rail North America segment, which is composed of the company's operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This segment mainly provides railcars pursuant to full-service leases under which it maintains the railcars, pays ad valorem taxes and insurance, and provides other ancillary services.
