The offering includes plain bearings, roller bearings, ball bearings, and engineered products. The company has two reportable segments: industrial, which generates the most revenue, and aerospace and defense. The A&D segment represents the end markets for the company's engineered bearings and precision components used in commercial aerospace, defense aerospace, and sea and ground defense applications; and the industrial segment represents the end markets for its products used in various industrial applications. Geographically, the company generates a majority of its revenue from the United States.

Alliant Energy is the parent of two regulated utilities, Interstate Power and Light and Wisconsin Power and Light. Together, IPL and WPL serve nearly 1 million electric customers and 425,000 natural gas-only customers. Both subsidiaries engage in the generation and distribution of electricity and the distribution and transportation of natural gas. Alliant also owns a 16% interest in American Transmission.
