The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from regular federal, New York State, and New York City income taxes, and from the federal alternative minimum tax for individuals, while enhancing portfolio value relative to the municipal bond market by investing in tax-exempt municipal bonds considered underrated, undervalued, or from undervalued municipal market sectors. It may invest in municipal securities such as lease obligations and certificates of participation, which provide an undivided interest in pools of municipal leases or installment purchase agreements.
