The company provides a full range of commercial and consumer banking products and services, business equipment financing, merchant credit card services, trust and investment management, and insurance and financial planning services. The Banking segment, which generates the majority of the revenue, provides financial products and services to consumers and businesses, including commercial, commercial real estate, mortgage, and other consumer loan products; commercial equipment financing, etc. The Wealth Management segment consists of trust and fiduciary services, brokerage, and retirement planning services. The Corporate segment includes the holding company's financing and investment activities, administrative expenses.
Blackrock Municipal Income Trust II is a perpetual closed-end municipal bond fund. Its objective is to provide a high current income exempt from federal income taxes. The fund invests a majority of its managed assets in municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of states, territories, and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies, or instrumentalities (Municipal Bonds), the interest of which is exempt from regular federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the alternative minimum tax).
