John B Sanfilippo & Son Inc is one of the processors and distributors of peanuts, pecans, cashews, walnuts, almonds, and other nuts in the United States. These nuts are sold under a variety of private brands and the Fisher, Orchard Valley Harvest, and Sunshine Country brand names. It also markets and distributes, and in the majority of cases, manufactures or processes, a diverse product line of food and snack products, including peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, candy and confections, snacks and trail mixes, snack bites, sunflower kernels, dried fruit, corn snacks, sesame sticks and other sesame snack products under private brands and brand names.

Its investment objective is to provide shareholders with a high level of current income exempt from U.S. federal income taxes, as is consistent with its investment policies and prudent investment management. The fund invests a majority of its assets in municipal obligations exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax). Under normal market conditions, the fund invests mainly in long-term municipal obligations that are investment-grade quality or are considered by the adviser to be of comparable quality at the time of investment. It can also invest directly in such securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
