Cardiol Therapeutics Inc is a late-stage life sciences company focused on advancing the development of anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic therapies for heart disease. Its primary small-molecule candidate, CardiolRx, targets inflammasome pathway activation, which is involved in the development of inflammation and fibrosis in conditions such as pericarditis, myocarditis, and heart failure. The CardiolRx program includes the completed Phase II MAVERIC-Pilot study and the ongoing Phase III MAVERIC trial for the treatment of pericarditis.
