Additionally, the firm has a banking subsidiary, offering banking services mainly to privately held businesses in the St. Louis metropolitan area and restaurant franchises and faith-based ministries within the United States. The company operates in two reportable segments: Information Services, which generates the maximum revenue, and Banking Services.

Its investment objective is to provide shareholders with a high level of current income exempt from U.S. federal income taxes, as is consistent with its investment policies and prudent investment management. The fund invests a majority of its assets in municipal obligations exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax). Under normal market conditions, the fund invests mainly in long-term municipal obligations that are investment-grade quality or are considered by the adviser to be of comparable quality at the time of investment. It can also invest directly in such securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
