Its investment objective is to provide shareholders with a high level of current income exempt from U.S. federal income taxes, as is consistent with its investment policies and prudent investment management. The fund invests a majority of its assets in municipal obligations exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax).
