The company's current product offerings include entry-level homes, including both detached homes and townhomes, and move-up homes sold, which are sold under the LGI Homes brand, and luxury series homes, which are sold under the Terrata Homes brand. It offers a set number of floor plans in each community with features that include upgrades, such as granite countertops, appliances, and ceramic tile flooring. The company has seven operating segments: West, Northwest, Central, Midwest, Florida, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic. The majority of the revenue is generated from the Central division segment.

Its investment objective is to provide shareholders with current income exempt from U.S. federal income taxes and California personal income taxes. The fund mainly invests in municipal obligations exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax) and California personal income taxes. Under normal market conditions, it invests a majority of its managed assets in investment-grade municipal obligations with remaining maturities of one year or more at the time of investment. It can also invest in below investment-grade securities, or directly in such securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives.
